A college of a fairly moderate size and well-formed community can offer a nurturing environment for the students, they even contain a set list of pre-determined policies in place to keep the students attending colleges in NC safe and secure. These policies include every night curfew and evening room inspections for all residents, with men and women residing in separate buildings, each residence hall contains an adult supervisor. Nightly security rounds are conducted by uniformed officers. A plan for crisis management is reviewed yearly, including well-timed caution systems via text messaging and secure campus email system. Use and storing of drugs, alcohol, and firearms are not permitted and these guidelines and laws keep the student community safe and flourishing.
