Hey..

Profile picture guard will prevent your profile picture from people who are not friends on Facebook won’t be able to tag anyone, including themselves, in your profile picture. It will prevent others from taking a screenshot of your profile picture on Facebook where possible. This feature is currently available only on Android devices.

You can

  1. Open your Facebook profile.
  2. Tap your profile photo.
  3. You will then see the option (pictured below) to Turn on profile picture guard.
  4. If selected, you will get the option to Save, and then see your profile photo with the shield symbol.

Hello Phillips Kimberly

Profile picture guard can help protect your current profile picture from misuse. When profile picture guard is turned on:

  • Other people can’t tap ShareSend in the message, Share externally or Download from your current profile picture on Facebook.
  • Only you and your Facebook friends can tag your current profile picture.
  • An image of a shield is added to your current profile picture. The shield helps show people that your profile picture should be respected.

To help discourage screenshots, you can also add a design to your current profile picture.

Turn Profile Picture Guard On or Off

To turn on profile picture guard for your current profile picture:

  1. From your profile, click your profile picture
  2. Click Options
  3. Click Turn On Profile Picture Guard
  4. Click Save

To turn off profile picture guard for your current profile picture:

  1. From your profile, click your profile picture
  2. Click Turn off Profile Picture Guard
  3. Click Yes

Note: When you turn profile picture guard on or off, click the top of your profile picture. Don’t click Update Profile Picture.

Thanks
